November 2026 · Our first monthly round-up
October’s standout builds, member offers, community news and a few useful things for your next miniature adventure.
A note from David
Welcome to the first Book Nook Workshop Monthly. With more people subscribing, I wanted to bring the most useful things together in one place: our member discounts, community prizes, standout reviews and a few developments worth knowing about.
October also brought our first community build in Stafford. Fourteen builders, plenty of miniature details and a room full of shared enthusiasm—it was a lovely reminder of why this community matters.

Your member offers
Two offers worth highlighting: Fifijoy’s 20% Book Nook Workshop discount and Tonecheer’s 20% offer through our referral links. Follow the links on our shop fronts and check the final checkout price and any exclusions.
We have also added dedicated Amazon UK and Amazon US deals pages. These include kits we have not built or reviewed, so a discount is not a Workshop recommendation. Prices and availability can change—check the final price before buying, especially as November’s sales approach.
November community prizes: an important change
From November, winners will be selected by judges for the best content and helpful contributions in our Facebook group, rather than through a random draw. Share your builds, offer useful advice and help fellow builders.
You must still register your contact and shipping details to be eligible. Group membership alone is not enough, and registration does not replace participation.

Three standout reviews from October
Old Shanghai — Anavrin | 100/100

My first Anavrin build put the premium price firmly under the spotlight. A detailed street scene, a miniature tram and rickshaw, atmospheric lighting and an exceptionally satisfying result earned it my Golden Buzzer.
Monet’s Impression — Timory | 100/100

Martin’s review celebrates excellent materials, precise components and thoughtful engineering in a compact book nook, with a personal addition: a resin-printed, hand-painted Claude Monet.

Hillside Cottage — Fifijoy | 99/100

A beautifully engineered cottage with detailed interiors, a working door and plenty of scope for landscaping. Martin found a great deal to enjoy—and one missed opportunity that kept it just short of perfection.

More fresh reviews to catch up on
The review bench has hardly had time to cool down. Recent additions include Starry Night Café — Rolife (94/100) · Museum 1881 — JOOHOUR (92/100) · The Witch House — FifiJoy · Seaside Amusement Park — NookMaster · Ice Rink — Tonecheer. From a grand museum to a witch’s swamp, we have been keeping the tweezers busy.
The industry news worth your time
Viendor’s next chapter. Martin’s latest conversation with Hoang explores a manufacturing move, redesigned MDF kits and plans for Ginzan Onsen Winter and Spring editions. It is a useful look behind the scenes, rather than a promise of stock arriving tomorrow. Read the Viendor update.
New-product spotlight
Tonecheer has featured two new products on our shop front: the Enchanted Tricks magic-shop book nook and Pink Holiday desktop storage kit. These are product announcements rather than our hands-on verdicts.

Something useful for your next build
Our guide to model numbers and who really makes your book nook now includes the updated V30 reference sheet. Handy when the same castle seems to be wearing three different brand names.
Curious about adding your own figures and details? Our new guide explores 3D printing for book nooks, from creating a design to preparation and painting.
And if your stash is growing faster than your enthusiasm, Confessions of a Slightly Nooked-Out Nooker may sound familiar.
Thanks for being part of the Workshop.
