Tonecheer – Some of the Most Inventive Kits We’ve Built
Tonecheer is one of the manufacturers that most consistently experiments with movement, sound, unusual lighting and interactive features. We have built everything from traditional book nooks to mechanical castles and story frames.

Tonecheer Kits We’ve Actually Built
Every kit below has been built and reviewed by a member of the Book Nook Workshop team.
Walking Castle
A huge mechanical fantasy build with synchronised gears, moving wings, chimneys, upper terrace and rear propeller, plus lighting and music. Not a traditional book nook, but one of Tonecheer’s clearest demonstrations of what the company does differently.
Crescent Moon Restaurant
One of our perfect-score builds. Folding front doors, a controllable rotating stage and exceptionally strong visual design make this collaboration with Xiron one of the most memorable Tonecheer projects we have reviewed.
Venetian Dreams
A richly coloured Venice scene with gondolas, canals, architecture and superb lighting. For us, this is one of the strongest examples of how far Tonecheer’s engineering and instructions have progressed.
Deep Melody
A colourful underwater fantasy combining transparent acrylic elements, layered scenery, lighting, sound and movement. It can also be activated with Tonecheer’s optional wand system.
Magic Platform
A magical railway-platform scene with Gothic architecture, multicolour lighting and an unusual expandable design. Touch activation is standard, while Tonecheer’s optional wand adds another layer of interaction.
The Legend of Li Bai
An elegant Chinese-themed build with strong architectural detail and a particularly enjoyable construction experience. A great choice if you want something very different from the familiar library or fantasy-street format.
Magic College Story Frame
Four colourful magical rooms arranged within an enchanted frame. Repositionable furniture, touch lighting and optional wand activation make this a highly interactive display piece rather than a conventional shelf insert.
Leonardo da Vinci
An ambitious Leonardo-inspired workshop packed with references to his art and inventions. Our build showed its age compared with Tonecheer’s newer releases, so this is one where we strongly recommend reading the review before buying.
