Company Overview

In short, Robotime is not just the biggest name in book nooks — it is an industrial-scale manufacturer with the infrastructure, certification and retail relationships of a serious global player. The gap between Robotime and the next tier of manufacturers is considerably larger than most hobbyists realise.

The largest and most established player in the book nook and wooden puzzle market is Robotime Technology, headquartered in Jiangsu (Suzhou), China.

Founded in 2007, Robotime is a global creative toy company specialising in DIY craft kits, miniature houses, mechanical models and wooden toys. Robotime

What confuses many buyers is that Robotime operates through a family of sub-brands rather than selling primarily under its own name. In 2017, Robotime introduced two new brands: ROKR and Rolife. ROKR focuses on wooden assembly mechanical models, adhering to a “creativity first” principle and blending science, technology, engineering and art. Rolife, by contrast, focuses on the DIY craft field, manufacturing miniature worlds including book nooks and dollhouses. Robotime

Robotime Technology now operates four sub-brands in total: Rolife, ROKR, Rowood and Robud, producing art, technological, engineering, mechanical and educational puzzles for family and institutional use. Wikipedia

The company has more than 200 foreign dealers, operates in 2,800+ foreign stores worldwide, and has entered mainstream offline retail platforms including Barnes & Noble, Michaels, Hobbytown and Target. Their factory covers 96,000 square metres and employs 1,200 people, producing over 20 million pieces per month across more than 60 production lines. Robotime US

In short: if you are buying a Rolife book nook, you are buying from Robotime. The brand name on the box reflects the product category, not a separate company.

Robotime: Factory, Production and OEM Capabilities

Robotime is not simply the largest brand in the book nook market — it is, by a considerable margin, the most industrially significant company in the entire DIY wooden puzzle and miniature kit sector. Understanding its scale helps explain why it occupies such a dominant position, and why so many smaller brands find it difficult to compete on price.

From Robotime to ROKR And Rolife: A Journey of Robotime Growth

Corporate Structure

Robotime C&C (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. was founded in 2019, formerly known as Rober Technology (Shuyang) Co., Ltd., which was established in Miaotou, Shuyang in 2013. The wider Robotime group traces its origins to October 2007. The operational headquarters sit in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, while the primary manufacturing base is in Shuyang County, also in Jiangsu.

Factory Size and Infrastructure

Robotime’s manufacturing footprint is substantial and spread across multiple specialised facilities. In Miaotou, Shuyang, Robotime operates a plywood production base of 15,000 square metres. In the Shuyang County Development Zone, there is a 25,000 square metre toy manufacturing base, a 30,000 square metre production base for plastic products moulding and colouring, and a 7,500 square metre wooden crafts processing plant. A storage and logistics centre adds a further 25,000 square metres.

This is already a significant operation, but it is actively being expanded. Robotime is currently building an industrial park covering 166 acres on Wenzhou Road in Shuyang, planning ten factories with a total construction area of 150,000 square metres. When complete, this will represent a dramatic further scaling of the company’s already considerable capacity. A separate source puts the current factory footprint at 200,000 square metres.

Production Capacity

Robotime operates more than 60 professional production lines, employs 1,200 people across a 96,000 square metre facility, and produces over 20 million pieces per month. The company runs more than 600 laser machines.

The annual output value exceeds 500 million yuan, with a per capita output value of 500,000 yuan or above. At current exchange rates, 500 million yuan represents approximately £55 million or $70 million in annual revenue — a figure that places Robotime firmly in the category of a significant mid-sized manufacturing business rather than a craft company that has simply scaled up.

OEM and ODM Services

Robotime’s Alibaba profile identifies it as the number one leading factory for puzzles and games, with 18 years in the industry, and specifically notes that it provides OEM services for well-known brands. The company’s dedicated OEM/ODM page on the ROKR website confirms that these services span the full product lifecycle.

Robotime’s design team includes over 450 designers and engineers, and the company notes that its designers have been involved in product design for Disney. While the exact nature of that relationship is not elaborated upon publicly, it indicates that Robotime’s OEM capability extends to working with major international IP holders — a significant credential in the context of the licensed products discussion above. LinkedIn

Minimum order quantities for OEM/ODM work start at 3,000 pieces per design, which puts this service firmly in the category of business-to-business supply rather than small batch retail. The company also offers a dropshipping programme for smaller retailers who want to sell Robotime products without holding stock.

Primary Customers and Retail Presence

Robotime’s products have entered the mainstream offline retail platforms of the world, including Barnes & Noble, Michaels, Hobbytown and Target. The company has more than 200 foreign dealers and over 2,800 foreign stores selling simultaneously. BOOK NOOK

Their sales channels cover bookstores, shopping malls, gift stores, toy stores, hobby stores, supermarkets and home accessories stores. This breadth of retail penetration is unmatched by any other book nook brand and reflects years of investment in international distribution infrastructure. BOOK NOOK

Certifications and Standards

Robotime holds FSC international ecological and environmental protection certification and CARB certification, ensuring the environmental safety of their products. The factory also holds BSCI, ISO 9001 and Sedex certifications, and products have passed CE, ASTM and EN71 testing. This level of certification compliance is a significant competitive advantage when supplying major retailers, who typically require verified audit trails before agreeing to stock a supplier’s products. Confidence Rating🟢 High – Information confirmed through the official Sile Crafts website and company publications. (ETKVR)

ETKVR and Sile Crafts

Perhaps one of the most fascinating companies in today’s book nook industry is Dongguan Sile Crafts Co., Ltd., the manufacturer behind the ETKVR brand. Based in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China, Sile Crafts has rapidly established itself as both a producer of its own consumer products and a manufacturing partner for businesses around the world.

Unlike many companies in the hobby that reveal little about how they operate, Sile Crafts is refreshingly transparent about its business model. Through its official websites, the company describes itself as an integrated designer and manufacturer, combining original product development, precision manufacturing and large-scale production to supply both its own brands and customers requiring OEM and ODM services.

One aspect that makes Sile Crafts particularly interesting is its multi-brand strategy. In addition to ETKVR, the company also owns and markets products under the TOYQI, DROICC and ASLOWSNAIL brands. In direct correspondence with Book Nook Workshop, the company explained that these brands are used primarily to support different retail channels and marketplace stores.

In practical terms, this means that customers may occasionally find what appears to be the same book nook kit sold under different brand names. While the outer packaging and branding may vary, the underlying product can originate from the same design team, production facility and quality control process. This is a common and perfectly legitimate business practice used by manufacturers supplying multiple sales channels, although it can understandably cause confusion for buyers trying to compare brands.

Beyond its consumer-facing brands, Sile Crafts actively promotes its OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) services. The company works with distributors, wholesalers and private-label businesses, offering everything from manufacturing existing products to developing completely new designs for commercial partners. This combination of original design, flexible manufacturing and private-label production has helped establish Sile Crafts as one of the more significant players in the rapidly expanding book nook market.

Book Nook Workshop Observation

One of the reasons we find Sile Crafts particularly interesting is the company’s openness. While many manufacturers reveal very little about their operations, Sile Crafts openly discusses its production capabilities, OEM services and brand structure. As the book nook industry continues to mature, this level of transparency provides valuable insight into how modern book nook manufacturing really works and helps enthusiasts better understand the relationships between factories, brands and retailers.

Known ForInteractive book nooks, moving mechanisms, music boxes
Notable PartnershipsHarry Potter (XIRON), Suzhou Museum, Shanghai Science & Technology Museum
Book Nook Workshop ObservationOne of the industry’s most innovative manufacturers, consistently introducing interactive features that distinguish its kits from more conventional designs.
Confidence Rating🟢 High – Based on official company information and publicly documented partnerships.

Among today’s leading book nook manufacturers, Tonecheer has earned a reputation for combining traditional wooden craftsmanship with imaginative engineering. The consumer-facing brand belongs to Xiamen Goowin Technology Co., Ltd., headquartered in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. Founded in 2010, the company has grown from an experienced wooden craft manufacturer into one of the industry’s most innovative designers of interactive DIY models.

According to the company, Xiamen Goowin operates more than 11,000 square metres of production facilities, supported by an experienced design and research team with independently developed manufacturing processes. Over the years the company has created more than 200 original 3D wooden puzzle products and has been granted nearly 100 design patents, reflecting a strong emphasis on original product development rather than simply following market trends.

What truly distinguishes Tonecheer, however, is its approach to product design. The company was founded by a group of engineers from the high-tech industry who wanted to combine technical innovation with creativity and storytelling. That philosophy is evident throughout its range of book nook kits, many of which feature interactive elements including touch-activated lighting, rotating mechanisms, moving figures and integrated music boxes. These features create a more immersive building and display experience, setting Tonecheer apart from many traditional static book nook kits.

Beyond its own product range, Tonecheer has established itself as a respected creative design company within China. The business has collaborated with organisations including the Suzhou Museum and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, developing exclusive cultural and creative products inspired by Chinese heritage. It also designed commemorative gifts for the World Youth Skills Competition held in Shanghai in 2021 and has received several industry awards, including recognition among the Top Ten Fujian and Taiwan Souvenirs for three consecutive years and becoming the best-selling cultural and creative brand within SiSYPHE Bookstore, one of China’s largest private bookstore chains.

Tonecheer has also expanded through licensing and commercial partnerships. One notable example is its officially licensed Harry Potter products for the Chinese domestic market, marketed under the XIRON brand. Alongside its consumer products, the company actively offers OEM, ODM and wholesale manufacturing services, allowing international distributors and retailers to develop products using Tonecheer’s manufacturing expertise.

The company’s guiding philosophy is simple: to inspire curiosity, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of craftsmanship. As stated in its own mission, Tonecheer aims to bring together knowledge, beauty, childlike happiness and a love of the world through every product it creates.

An amazing kit reviewed by the Booknook Workshop team

Book Nook Workshop Observation

Having reviewed several Tonecheer kits, we’ve consistently been impressed by the company’s willingness to push beyond the traditional book nook formula. Features such as animated scenes, touch-sensitive lighting and integrated music mechanisms demonstrate a level of engineering rarely found elsewhere in the hobby. While these additional features can sometimes increase build complexity, they also create some of the most memorable and technically ambitious book nook experiences currently available.

Notable MilestonesFeatured on Vietnamese national television; strategic manufacturing partner for international brands; rebranded from BookNookGlobal to Viendor
Book Nook Workshop ObservationOne of the industry’s most inspiring success stories. From a 10 m² workshop founded by three engineers and architects, Viendor has grown into an internationally recognised manufacturer while remaining committed to original design, quality craftsmanship and Vietnamese manufacturing.
Confidence Rating🟢 Very High – Based on official Viendor information, direct correspondence and an exclusive Book Nook Workshop interview with founder

Viendor (formerly BookNookGlobal)

Among today’s leading book nook manufacturers, Viendor stands apart for one very important reason. While the vast majority of book nook brands manufacture their products in China, Viendor proudly designs and manufactures its entire range in Vietnam, making it one of the few internationally recognised book nook companies operating outside China.

The company’s journey began in 2019 under the name Polywoods, when three engineers and architects started designing wooden models from a modest 10-square-metre workshop. As founder Ngo Quoc Hoang explained in an exclusive interview with Book Nook Workshop, the team wasn’t backed by major investors or large manufacturing facilities. Instead, they combined a passion for design with a determination to build something different, learning every aspect of the business themselves—from product development and manufacturing to marketing and international sales.

Their persistence quickly paid off. By 2022, the company had secured its first international distributors and had become a strategic design and manufacturing partner for a global brand. What began as a small local workshop soon evolved into an international business exporting handcrafted DIY models to more than 20 countries.

Today, the company is entering an exciting new chapter through a complete rebranding. BookNookGlobal is becoming Viendor, reflecting a broader vision of creating premium creative products with global appeal while remaining proudly designed and manufactured in Vietnam. During this transition, customers may still encounter the BookNookGlobal name on product packaging, instruction manuals and online videos. However, these products continue to be designed, manufactured and supported by the same experienced team.

Unlike many companies that simply assemble existing concepts, Viendor places original design at the heart of its business. The company develops its own products in-house while also offering design and manufacturing services for commercial partners. This allows Viendor to operate both as a consumer brand and as a trusted manufacturing partner for businesses looking to develop premium DIY products.

The company’s growing reputation has also been recognised within Vietnam. Viendor has been featured on Vietnamese national television, highlighting both its entrepreneurial journey and its contribution to creative manufacturing. From its humble beginnings in a small workshop to becoming an internationally recognised brand, the company’s story reflects the rapid growth of the modern book nook industry itself.

An Exclusive Insight from the Founder

One aspect that particularly impressed us during our interview with founder Ngo Quoc Hoang was his commitment to long-term innovation rather than rapid expansion. Rather than simply increasing production, the company continues to invest in original design, product quality and sustainable growth. That philosophy has helped Viendor establish a distinctive identity within a highly competitive market and demonstrates that world-class book nook manufacturing is no longer limited to China.

Book Nook Workshop Observation

Viendor represents one of the most inspiring success stories in the book nook industry. Its progression from a small family workshop to an internationally recognised manufacturer demonstrates what can be achieved through creativity, perseverance and a commitment to original design. While the company is smaller than some of the industry’s largest manufacturers, its emphasis on craftsmanship, storytelling and innovation gives it a unique position within the global market. As the Viendor brand continues to grow, we believe it has the potential to become one of the defining names in premium book nook design over the coming years.

Editor’s Note

This profile includes information from an exclusive interview conducted by Book Nook Workshop with Viendor founder Ngo Quoc Hoang. We’d like to thank him for sharing the company’s story and helping us better understand the growth of Vietnam’s emerging book nook industry.

Among today’s most recognisable book nook brands, CUTEBEE has established itself as one of the fastest-growing names in the hobby. The company has built a strong international following through Amazon, AliExpress and its own online store, earning a reputation for colourful, highly detailed book nook kits that blend imaginative storytelling with excellent value for money.

According to the company, CUTEBEE focuses on the research and development of original DIY cultural and creative products, combining traditional handcrafted assembly with themes inspired by literature, architecture and Asian culture. Its stated ambition is to become a leading innovator within the book nook industry through continuous investment in original design and manufacturing technology.

The scale of the company’s production is impressive. CUTEBEE reports operating more than 500 professional laser-cutting machines, producing over 12,000 DIY kits every day and employing a production team of around 500 people. FifiJoy

Company ProfileFifijoy
HeadquartersNot publicly disclosed
Business TypeConsumer book nook brand
Main ProductsBook nooks, DIY miniature houses, 3D wooden puzzles
Sales ChannelsOfficial website, Amazon and international online retailers
ManufacturingNot publicly disclosed
OEM / Wholesale ServicesNot publicly confirmed
Known ForWide range of themed book nooks with integrated LED lighting and decorative finishes
Book Nook Workshop ObservationA well-established consumer brand offering attractive and imaginative designs, although little public information is currently available regarding its manufacturing operations or corporate structure.
Confidence Rating🟡 Moderate – Based on official consumer-facing information. Manufacturing arrangements have not been publicly disclosed.

Fifijoy has become an increasingly familiar name within the book nook community, offering a growing range of DIY book nook shelf inserts, miniature dollhouses and 3D wooden puzzles through its own website, Amazon and other international marketplaces. The company promotes itself under the slogan “Where Creativity Meets Joy,” with a focus on creating enjoyable DIY experiences that combine imaginative design with accessible construction.

The brand has developed a diverse catalogue of book nook kits covering a wide variety of themes, from traditional libraries and magical worlds to historic streets and fantasy settings. Many of its products feature integrated LED lighting, detailed laser-cut wooden components and colourful printed finishes, making them appealing to both new hobbyists and experienced builders.

Unlike some of the larger manufacturers featured in this guide, Fifijoy publishes relatively little information about its corporate structure or manufacturing operations. While the company presents itself as an established consumer brand with its own identity and customer community, it does not publicly disclose whether its products are manufactured in its own facilities or produced in partnership with one or more OEM manufacturers.

As a result, it is difficult to draw firm conclusions about the company’s manufacturing arrangements. Some products share similarities in construction methods and presentation with kits sold by other brands, but this alone is not sufficient evidence to determine common manufacturing origins. Until further information becomes available, it is more appropriate to regard Fifijoy as an established consumer brand whose manufacturing relationships remain undisclosed.

Amazing customisation from John from Booknook Workshop

Book Nook Workshop Observation

From the kits we’ve reviewed, Fifijoy has developed a reputation for producing attractive, well-presented book nooks that often feature imaginative themes and excellent visual appeal. While build quality and complexity vary between models, the brand has successfully established itself as a recognised name within the hobby. We hope to learn more about the company’s manufacturing background in the future and would welcome the opportunity to update this profile should additional information become available.

Industry Observation: Are CUTEBEE and Fifijoy Connected?

During our research for this guide, Book Nook Workshop made an interesting observation that may help explain relationships within the modern book nook industry.

As members of both the CUTEBEE and Fifijoy affiliate programmes, we found that both brands are administered through the same affiliate portal. While this does not, by itself, prove common ownership or manufacturing, it does indicate that the two brands share at least part of their commercial or marketing infrastructure.

There are several possible explanations. The brands could share a parent company, operate through the same distributor, use the same affiliate management agency, or simply utilise the same marketing platform. At the time of writing, neither company has publicly explained the relationship.

This observation is particularly interesting because multi-brand strategies are already well established elsewhere in the industry. For example, Dongguan Sile Crafts openly operates several consumer brands—including ETKVR, TOYQI, DROICC and ASLOWSNAIL—from the same business. It is therefore reasonable to ask whether similar commercial relationships exist elsewhere within the book nook market.

Book Nook Workshop has contacted both companies seeking clarification and will update this article should additional information become available.

Confidence Rating🟡 Moderate – Based on official brand information and hands-on experience. Corporate structure and manufacturing arrangements have not been publicly disclosed.

MiniCity

MiniCity has established itself as one of the more distinctive brands in the book nook market, focusing on larger, highly detailed designs that combine storytelling with architectural creativity. Rather than concentrating on traditional streetscapes or fantasy bookshops, many of MiniCity’s kits draw inspiration from literature, mythology, history and the performing arts, creating immersive miniature worlds that often become centrepieces on a bookshelf.

Among the brand’s best-known designs are Abbey Library, Beyond Library, Alice Down the Rabbit Hole, Phantom of the Opera and Sleeping Beauty. These models are recognised for their ambitious layouts, layered construction and dramatic visual presentation, often featuring larger dimensions and a greater number of components than many standard book nook kits.

MiniCity describes its products as original designs and sells directly to customers through its own website alongside major online marketplaces such as Amazon, where several of its products have achieved Amazon’s Choice status. The company has developed a strong reputation for producing visually striking kits that appeal to experienced builders looking for projects beyond the traditional book nook format.

Despite the growing popularity of the brand, relatively little public information is available about the company behind MiniCity. Details such as its legal corporate identity, manufacturing facilities and any OEM or ODM relationships have not been publicly disclosed. While the brand appears to have entered the market around 2020, there is currently no verified information confirming whether MiniCity manufactures its products in-house or works with external production partners.

As with several emerging brands featured in this guide, we believe it is important to distinguish between what is publicly documented and what remains unknown. Until further information becomes available, MiniCity should be regarded as an original consumer-facing brand whose manufacturing arrangements have not been publicly confirmed.

A lovely kit reviewed by D.J. from BookNook Workshop

Book Nook Workshop Observation

From the MiniCity kits we’ve built and reviewed, the company’s greatest strength lies in its originality. Rather than following established trends, MiniCity has developed a catalogue centred on immersive storytelling and theatrical presentation, resulting in some of the most ambitious and visually impressive book nook designs currently available. We hope to learn more about the company behind the brand in the future and would welcome the opportunity to update this profile as additional information becomes available.

Known ForCreative themes, attractive finished models and growing popularity within the hobby
Book Nook Workshop ObservationDespite limited public information about the company, our experience building several Timory kits has been consistently positive. The brand produces imaginative, enjoyable kits that compare well with many established competitors.
Confidence Rating🟡 Moderate – Based on extensive hands-on experience with Timory products. Corporate information and manufacturing arrangements have not been publicly disclosed.

Timory is a relatively recent entrant to the book nook market and has quickly attracted attention for producing imaginative and visually appealing DIY miniature kits. The brand offers a growing range of book nooks, miniature buildings and creative display models, many of which have become popular through online marketplaces including Amazon and specialist hobby retailers.

From our own experience, Timory’s products demonstrate thoughtful design, good build quality and an emphasis on attractive finished displays. Several of the company’s kits feature creative architectural themes and effective lighting, helping the brand establish a loyal following among hobbyists looking for something a little different.

Despite the growing popularity of its products, very little public information is available about the company itself. Details such as its legal corporate identity, headquarters, manufacturing facilities and business structure have not been publicly disclosed. Extensive research has identified very few reliable sources describing the organisation behind the brand.

As a result, it remains unclear whether Timory designs and manufactures its own products, works with one or more OEM manufacturers, or operates through another business model entirely. At the time of writing, no official information has been found confirming these relationships.

We would welcome the opportunity to include additional information should Timory choose to share more about its history, manufacturing operations or product development. One of the aims of this guide is to encourage greater transparency across the book nook industry while ensuring every company is represented as accurately and fairly as possible.

John from Booknook Workshop enjoyed this build

Book Nook Workshop Observation

Having built and reviewed several Timory kits, we’ve found the brand to consistently produce enjoyable projects with imaginative themes and an attractive finished appearance. Although little is currently known about the company behind the products, our hands-on experience suggests that Timory deserves recognition alongside many of the better-known brands within the hobby. We hope to update this section as further information becomes available.

An Invitation to Manufacturers

The book nook industry continues to evolve rapidly, and one of the goals of this guide is to improve transparency for hobbyists around the world. If you’re a manufacturer or brand featured in this article and would like to update, clarify or expand the information presented here, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Book Nook Workshop is committed to maintaining this guide as a living industry resource and welcomes corrections, additional information and official company updates. Where appropriate, verified information will be incorporated into future revisions with full acknowledgement.

Other Well-Known Book Nook Brands

Anavrin

Anavrin has become one of the best-known premium book nook retailers, particularly through social media marketing and international direct-to-consumer sales. The company offers a carefully curated range of high-quality DIY book nooks with an emphasis on premium packaging and customer experience. While Anavrin has established a strong global brand, relatively little public information is available regarding its manufacturing arrangements or supply chain.

Temu/AliExpress

Temu/AliExpress are an online marketplaces rather than a manufacturer or book nook brand. Many book nook kits sold on these platforms originate from established manufacturers featured elsewhere in this guide, while others are produced by smaller factories or independent sellers. Buyers should therefore evaluate the individual product and seller rather than assuming every Temu/AliExpress listing comes from the same source.

Other Brands Worth Watching

There are dozens of smaller brands now entering the market every year. Some specialise in original designs, while others focus on distributing products manufactured by larger OEM suppliers. As the hobby continues to expand, new companies regularly emerge through Amazon, Etsy, Temu and specialist online retailers.

At the time of writing, Book Nook Workshop is monitoring several emerging brands and will continue updating this guide as additional information becomes available.

If you’re a manufacturer or retailer who believes your company should be included, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

What We Know – And What We Still Don’t Know

One of the biggest challenges in researching the book nook industry is that many business relationships are simply not made public.

Unlike many established industries, where manufacturers, distributors and brand owners are clearly identified, the book nook market remains relatively young and commercially competitive. Companies often choose not to disclose their manufacturing partners, OEM relationships or corporate ownership structures.

Throughout this guide, we’ve aimed to distinguish carefully between verified facts, strong supporting evidence and areas where reliable information simply isn’t available.

Where possible, our conclusions are based on official company websites, direct communication with manufacturers, exclusive interviews, publicly available company information and our own experience building and reviewing more than 150 book nook kits.

Where evidence is incomplete, we’ve deliberately avoided presenting assumptions as facts.

🟢 Well Established

The following information is supported by official company publications, direct communication or multiple independent sources.

  • Robotime Technology owns and manufactures the Rolife, ROKR, Rowood and Robud brands from its production facilities in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.
  • Tonecheer is the consumer brand of Xiamen Goowin Technology Co., Ltd., which designs and manufactures its own products while also offering OEM and ODM services.
  • Dongguan Sile Crafts Co., Ltd. designs and manufactures products under multiple consumer brands, including ETKVR, TOYQI, DROICC and ASLOWSNAIL, while also supplying OEM and ODM manufacturing services to commercial partners.
  • Viendor (formerly BookNookGlobal) designs and manufactures its products in Vietnam, making it one of the very few internationally recognised book nook manufacturers operating outside China.
  • The majority of commercially available book nook kits are manufactured in China, particularly within the manufacturing regions of Guangdong, Fujian and Jiangsu provinces.

🟡 Strong Evidence

The following observations are supported by multiple sources or practical evidence but have not been publicly confirmed by the companies concerned.

  • Identical or near-identical book nook kits are sometimes sold under different brand names while originating from the same manufacturing source.
  • Some consumer brands selling through Amazon, Temu and AliExpress appear to source products from established OEM manufacturers rather than operating their own factories.
  • Book Nook Workshop has observed that CUTEBEE and Fifijoy currently share the same affiliate programme portal. While this suggests some form of commercial relationship, it does not by itself confirm common ownership or manufacturing, and no public explanation has been provided.
  • Several brands featured in this guide actively promote wholesale or OEM services, indicating that products may also be supplied under additional private-label brands not publicly disclosed.

⚪ Still Unknown

Despite extensive research, several important questions remain unanswered.

  • The complete ownership structure of every major book nook brand.
  • The manufacturing arrangements behind brands such as MiniCity, Fifijoy and Timory.
  • The total number of independent factories currently producing book nook kits worldwide.
  • The full extent of OEM manufacturing relationships between factories and consumer-facing brands.
  • How many apparently independent brands are actually operated by larger manufacturing groups.

An Industry That Continues to Evolve

Perhaps the most important conclusion from our research is that the book nook industry is far more interconnected than it first appears.

Some companies design, manufacture and sell their own products from a single organisation. Others focus entirely on manufacturing for third-party brands. Some operate multiple consumer brands simultaneously, while others act purely as retailers.

As the hobby continues to grow internationally, these relationships are likely to become even more complex.

For that reason, we intend this guide to remain a living document. As manufacturers release new information or respond to our enquiries, we’ll continue updating this article to ensure it remains one of the most accurate and comprehensive references available for the global book nook community.
