First Impressions
The Sweet Eaves Florist is a very attractive addition to the growing collection of miniature storefront and street scene style nooks currently available.
This build focuses on a small flower shop design filled with colorful displays, floral shelving and exterior decorative lighting. Compared to many darker or more neutral miniature builds, this kit immediately stands out because of its vibrant colors and lively presentation.
The kit is constructed primarily from printed MDF with limited but effective use of acrylic for:
- windows
- flower details
- and decorative elements
The finished structure feels solid and sturdy once assembled and fits very nicely alongside other street series style builds.
Build Quality and Materials

Most of the pieces removed cleanly from their boards and the general material quality was good throughout the project.
The printed MDF components are colorful and sharply detailed, helping the shop feel visually busy without becoming cluttered. The acrylic flower pieces add additional brightness and texture to the storefront, although they are also one of the more delicate parts of the build.
Some of the acrylic flowers include extremely fine tips that can break quite easily during handling or assembly. It is possible to glue these back into place, but fortunately the missing tips are subtle enough that most people would never notice them once the build is complete.
The majority of the parts fit properly, although glue is definitely required more frequently here than in some other mini nook projects, particularly for many of the acrylic flower details.
Instructions
The instructions are printed in full color and remain easy to follow throughout the build.
Most of the construction process is straightforward and beginner friendly, although there was one noticeable issue involving the wiring setup for the final light strip behind the shop sign.
The instructions clearly show a notch intended for routing the wire, however that notch was missing entirely from the pieces where it should have been located.
Fortunately, this is manageable with slight adjustment during assembly, but it is still worth mentioning because it can briefly create confusion while installing the lighting.
Lighting System

The lighting system is fully prewired and includes:
- touch control panel
- two 4-light LED strips
- preassembled wiring setup
One LED strip is installed internally above precut openings that allow the lighting to shine through the structure. Small clamps hold the strip securely in place during assembly.
The second strip is positioned externally beneath the shop awning and helps create the warm storefront atmosphere once illuminated.
The lighting itself is more than adequate for the size of the build and does a good job balancing:
- interior illumination
- window lighting
- and exterior display lighting
The touch control panel only just reached its installation point because the cable length was extremely tight, but it did ultimately fit correctly.
Most Difficult Section
The flower shelf located outside the front of the store was easily the most difficult section of the entire build.
The shelving tolerances were extremely tight and required careful alignment to avoid stressing the surrounding parts. This was not impossible to complete, but definitely demanded more patience than the rest of the kit.
Fortunately, once assembled properly, the structure feels secure and stable.
Final Appearance

Once completed, Sweet Eaves Florist becomes a very colorful and visually cheerful display piece.
The combination of:
- bright flowers
- layered shelving
- illuminated storefront lighting
- and compact street market styling
gives the build far more visual energy than many miniature shop kits currently available.
The sturdy final structure also helps the finished project feel more premium than some lightweight cardboard-heavy alternatives.
Final Thoughts
The OTIOTHING Sweet Eaves Florist is a fun and attractive miniature storefront build that works especially well as part of a larger street scene collection.
While there are a few small issues involving:
- delicate acrylic flowers
- tight shelf tolerances
- and the missing wire-routing notch
the overall experience remains very enjoyable.
The colorful presentation, solid construction and warm lighting system make this a particularly appealing project for builders who enjoy:
- storefront kits
- flower shop aesthetics
- and vibrant street scene displays
A sturdy and colorful little nook that adds plenty of character to any miniature collection.
